Can I build the Moddie hard up against my boundary fence?
This needs council consent. Approval is determined by a number of factors, primarily whether the neighbor is impacted by overshadowing and if it is in keeping with general character of your neighborhood . We will assess this during our on-site survey and can organize the consent application on your behalf.​

How much does a Moddie cost?
Moddies cost between $200,000 and $300,000 depending on home size and construction access method. We’ll discuss this further with you during our on-line meeting.

When is a planning permit required?

We estimate that 95% of Moddie applications will not require a planning permit. We will review the planning overlays, zones and any covenants relating to your property during the Desktop Audit and will advise if your SSD application would require a planning permit.
When is a building permit required?

I live in a 2 storey house and am not sure if a crane can access my backyard?
We will assess this in our Desktop Audit. If crane access is not feasible we offer an on-site construction option as well.
Can I finance My Moddie?
Yes. Our dedicated mortgage broker will work with you to determine the best deal for you, taking into account any existing loans you may have.
Always. A Moddie must comply with all relevant building regulations (same as a primary residence). We will organise your building permit for you.
